Art-Ray Corporation is a family owned business incorporated in 1956 in Suffolk, Va. and is presently being operated by R. A. Davis, President and T. Neal Davis, Vice-President.

Our Surveying Team, managed by George R. Jenkins, L.S., Director of Surveys, allow us to have an advantage over the competition and offer you full control of the construction process.

George started his surveying career with VDOT in 1956 as a rodman and climbed the ranks to a Party Chief by 1963; he acquired his License in Land Surveying before retiring in 1977. During his ‘retirement’ George developed a successful Land Surveying business in the Tidewater area. In 2002 George made the move to join us at Art-Ray Corporation and has been an asset to our organization. Some of his Builder Services include, but are not limited to preparing site plans, assisting in site development, physicals, as well as pre and post construction elevation certificates. General surveying services include but are not limited to re-subdivisions, family land transfers, topographic, as-built, and boundary surveys, as well as construction layout.

Art-Ray Corporation has always thrived to be a contractor that you can rely on and have been able to remain a moderately sized company with approximately 40 employees. What this means to you is that we will always be able to supply one of our highly skilled crews to complete your project as quickly as possible and help relieve your mind from the building process. We also pride ourselves in being able to efficiently handle mass excavation projects, sub-grade preparation, and fine grading for roadways as well as building pads. Extensive experience in underground utilities design and installation insure your water, gravity sewer, sewer force main, and storm water management systems not only function properly but are designed to achieve positive results with a minimum investment.
